Advocates in Action!

Spreading the word about liver health and organ donation isn't just a hobby—it’s a full-time passion! Advocates are always coming up with fun and inventive ways to tell their stories and get the community involved in the mission!

Nancy Jasso - Walker County, GA Rotary Club

TLC Director of Patient Advocacy Nancy Jasso, had the opportunity to speak at the Walker County, GA Rotary Club for Donate Life Month.  For each speaker, they donate a children's book to the library. And she got to eat some great food, - they meet at the best BarBQue place in North Georgia!

UNOS Transplant Management Forum (TMF) April 2026  (Atlanta, GA)

We recently had an incredible time in our own backyard! TLC’s Beth Lehman and Nancy Jasso spent a few days volunteering at the LifeLink / Donate Life Georgia table during the annual UNOS Transplant Management Forum in Atlanta.

When they weren't busy connecting with attendees at the table, they jumped into educational sessions to soak up the latest breakthroughs in transplant management and innovation. Between chatting with inspiring vendors and community partners—and even taking a memorable ride on the TxJet simulator—it was a powerful reminder of how collaboration moves this lifesaving field forward.

Complex Creatures
Sober Livers, Liver Transplants, and Hope: A conversation with Beth Lehman

Meet the voices behind the advocacy. Complex Creatures is a weekly podcast hosted by Rev. Dr. Jarrod Longbons—a liver transplant recipient, TLC Board Member, and the Senior Minister at Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta.

The connection between Dr. Longbons and TLC Founder Beth Lehman is rooted in both coincidence and shared purpose. The two first met when Peachtree Christian Church hosted the Georgia Transplant Foundation’s Trends in Transplant conference—the exact location where Beth and her husband, Tony, celebrated their wedding in 2010. Recognizing a mutual commitment to liver health advocacy, they quickly built a professional partnership and friendship that continues to drive TLC’s mission forward.

Beth Lehman isn’t shy about openly relating the intimate details of how she almost drank herself to death. It was a habit she’d formed while traveling extensively as an IT consultant, and it kept going after her marriage in 2010 and her move to Dunwoody two years later.
