"Choose Your Own Adventure"
as an Advocate
Advocates Educating Through Experience
The Liver Circle (TLC) thrives on its advocates. We believe everyone impacted by liver disease—patients, caregivers, or supporters—has a unique story.
Yet many people struggle to find the right ways and platforms to share their experiences. TLC supports this community by offering resources to help communicate their journeys and knowledge, ultimately educating the public and destigmatizing liver disease through personal narratives.
Which type of advocate are you?
Storytelling and
Education
PERFECT IF: You love to talk, write, or help others feel less alone through your story.

The "Voice"
TLC provides this advocate the tools to turn their "why" into a "how."
You’ll learn how to share your journey in a way that captures hearts and changes minds. This could be with visiting patients through our TLC Live! program or sharing your experience with a local Rotary Club. The opportunities are endless.
Events and
Awareness
PERFECT IF: You’re a "doer" who loves organizing events and bringing people together for a good cause.

The "Community Catalyst"
This advocate loves making liver health a part of everyday conversation through fun, accessible, and supportive events. You may host a "Couch Conversation" (our signature casual peer-chat and education series), help organize a Sober Tailgate at a big game, or lead an online healthy cooking class.
Partnerships and Collaboration
PERFECT IF: You are a natural "connector" who loves networking and building strong communities.

The "Bridge Builder"
These are the "boots on the ground" for national foundations and local nonprofits, bringing their resources to the people who need them most - patients. You will help identify new groups to team up with, represent TLC at community events, and help us distribute "partner-approved" toolkits to doctors and patients.
Growth and
Sustainability
PERFECT IF: You’re organized, tech-savvy, or have a knack for business and want to use those skills for good

The "Backbone"
This advocate helps TLC build a professional, stable home for our advocates so we can keep making an impact for years to come. You will help with behind-the-scenes tasks like web design, grant writing, finding sponsors, or tracking how many people we’ve helped so we can share our success with the world.
