Chief Operations Offier
As Chief Operating Officer of The Liver Circle, Joanne brings a unique blend of strategic
execution and patient caregiver experience to patient advocacy; aiming to develop resources for
patients to maximize real world impact.
Joanne worked in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry as a results-driven strategic regulatory
affairs executive. She has expertise in developing innovative regulatory program strategies for
complex therapeutics and diagnostics. As a leader, she has a proven track record of building
and leading high-performing global teams dedicated to secure critical regulatory approvals
across diverse global markets, Joanne holds a B.S in Chemistry with Honors from Guilford
College.
Joanne’s passion for patient advocacy grew through her efforts to bring transformative
medicines to patients in her career. When her daughter developed end stage liver disease and
received a transplant in 2025, she became a full time caregiver. From this traumatic
experience, Joanne recognized the tremendous need for additional patient and caregiver
support and is now dedicating her time to patient advocacy.
When she isn't working to build and support the TLC patient advocacy program, Joanne enjoys
hiking, yoga, shopping estate sales, and solving puzzles. She lives with her husband and many
(many) animals in Hillsborough, NC
